Overview

This amazing tour opportunity
has come to you by chance! Shonny recently joined Phil Exton (Tasmanian
Mountain Bike Adventures owner and guide) on a MTB tour in Tasmania and she
loved it so much she’s coming back, and you’re invited to join her and the TasMBA
team on a once in a lifetime adventure (or twice if you’re Shonny!).

WE will circumnavigate this
beautiful state, riding and taking in some of the most magnificent National
Parks, wilderness and mountain bike trails! What this Island has to offer will blow
you away!

Accommodation will be a
mixture of Airbnb’s, Wilderness resort and camping (all camping gear
supplied-including very warm sleeping bags!).

You will ride for five full
days and 4 half days, with lots of opportunities to take a break and skip a
ride if you need to.

All breakfasts will be
provided as will some lunches. All other lunches and dinners will be available
for you to purchase at a venue pre-organised.

You can expect opportunities
to sample plenty of Tasmania’s amazing food on offer and explore some
spectacular wild wilderness trails that few know exist!

Your guides are locals and
Phil’s been riding this state for 25 years and will take you to some
breathtaking wilderness.

Between rides you will travel
on a modern and comfortable 14-seater bus with a fully enclosed/lockable
trailer to keep your steed safe and stone chip free.

Along the way, you can expect
to ride some of the best single track on the planet at Derby. Derby is due to
host the second round of the EWS for the second time next year, a few weeks
before your arrival, so expect some well-groomed and new trails to try!

Just when you think it can’t
get any better, we will take you to a small island off Tasmania’s coast where
we will walk, ride and get really close to some of Australia’s favourite wild
animals-kangaroo’s and wombats (plus more)!

Itinerary

Thursday April 11th

¨ Arrive at Hobart airport, Tasmania,
Australia!

¨ You will be picked up from the
airport and taken to your accommodation for the next 2 nights.

¨ Construct your bike or get fitted out
for one of our hire bikes.

¨ Group dinner at local waterfront
restaurant.

Friday April 12th

¨ After breakfast we will shuttle into
the foothills of Mount Wellington where we can roll down the historic Pipeline
track back into Hobart, to make sure all of our bikes are running smoothly
before we head up much higher on Mount Wellington to ride the iconic North
South Trail.

¨ After lunch we will head to the
Eastern Side of the Derwent River to ride some classic local trails on the
Meehan Range.

¨ Dinner at a local restaurant.

Saturday April 13th

¨ Breakfast early at accommodation
before driving to Tasmania’s west coast. We will stop along the way for morning
tea and stretch our legs.

¨ Lunch will be in either Queenstown or
Zeehan.

¨ After lunch we will ride to the
spectacular Montezuma Falls (the highest free fall waterfall in Tasmania). To
access it, we will ride along a rough, rutted and usually wet 4wd trail through
thick rainforest. We must cross a swing/suspension bridge just under the falls
to access our route out to where the bus will be waiting. This ride is about
18km.

¨ Our accommodation at the Tullah
Resort is basic but the restaurant, bar and huge wood fire will be a talking
point as it overlooks the lake. It’s highly likely that your riding gear is
going to be muddy, so we’ll get the washers and dryers into action!

¨ Dinner at the Resorts Restaurant.

Sunday April 14th

¨ Breakfast at accommodation

¨ Ride Climes Wilderness Trail

¨ Lunch at Zeehan or Roseberry

¨ Option afternoon - either relax at
accommodation/kayak on lake/visit Spray Tunnel or ride Heemskerk or Stirling
Valley trails

¨ Dinner at Accommodation.

Monday April 15th

up and depart

most fun single trail you may have ridden! 2 or 3 runs depending on how your
legs are going...save some in the tank for tomorrow!!!

get a feel for the trail, take photos, enjoy it’s beauty because on Thursday we
will ride it straight through! Many riders from around the world regard this as
the best they have ridden!

¨ Lunch
at Weldborough Hotel

wombats! The Bishop Clarke ride/walk is not easy but is often included in
Australia’s top 10 short walks (we can ride about 2/3 or it-all uphill but the
return trip is fast!!!). We will take lunch with us as there’s no shops on the
island. Lots of easy riding and short walks for people to enjoy. Bring your
