Tour Itinerary (suggested)

Day 1

Hobart: Ride Mount Wellington & Glenorchy MTB Park

Option to take the shuttle bus to the summit of Mt. Wellington for some breathtaking 360 degree views, 1270m above sea level.

Next up, the 11 km North-South Track into Glenorchy MTB Park

This iconic trail is graded intermediate but has lots of extras for those wanting greater challenges. The forest, views and riding terrain are constantly changing! The trail concludes at the Glenorchy Mountain Bike Park which offers a challenging downhill track, great flow trails, plenty of big berms and some great jump lines to session.

After lunch, we'll jump back in the minibus and head up Mount Wellington again and explore the great trails in the foothills of South Hobart.

Australia's oldest brewery, Cascade c1824, is located near the end of the trails. We'll stop in for a post-ride thirst quencher.

After a great day on the bike, you'll be taken back to your accommodation. Option to have drinks and eat out at Hobart's waterfront or Salamanca.

Day 2

Maydena Bike Park

Early start, minibus to Maydena will depart from the group's accommodation at 7.15am (90 min transfer).

Maydena is one of the world’s finest gravity parks. With over 800 meters of elevation and heaps of trail options, you are in for some exhilarating rides. Being a gravity park, don't expect much in the way of climbing. First shuttle heads p the mountain at 9.30am. Last shuttle departs at 4pm.
We recommend staying for post-ride pizza before the minibus returns the group to their accommodation in Hobart.

Day 3

St Helens

Early start, it's a 3.5 hour drive to St Helens. The incredibly beautiful coastal road will make the time pass quickly. We'll be running private shuttles to the trail head for 3-4 hours This is enough time to ride all the main descending trails and then go again.
At the end of the ride, we'll sit down for some famed St Helens fish & chips.
After eating, it's back in the minibus and off to Derby.
Accommodation: AirBnB in Derby.

Day 4

Derby

Private shuttles to Black Stump.
So many choices from the Black Stump shuttle drop - Upper Flickerty and Flickerty Sticks, or the black runs of Shearpin and 23 Stitches before heading up Krushka’s. You can choose to either descend the blue Krushka’s or take the Double Black Trouty all the way back into Derby. Of course you might prefer to ride Return To Sender, or climb the Snig Track and ride Roxanne and Kumma-Gutza, or Kings Wall or Air-Ya-Garn! Spoiled for choice!

Dinner at a local pub or restaurant.
Accommodation: AirBnB in Derby.

Next, you're shuttled back to the top of the Blue Tier to ride the famous Blue Tier Wilderness Trail. This is the jewel in the crown of the Derby trail network. 22km of mountain biking bliss. Mostly descending, but a few climbs to keep you honest.
