Summary

An incredible 2 days of mountain biking at two amazing destinations - Maydena Bike Park and Hobart's Mt Wellington. 

Maydena Bike Park has nearly 100 km of world class trails and is a venue for the renowned Red Bull Hardline downhill race.

Mt Wellington is an imposing mountain, rising 1270 metres above the city of Hobart. It boasts a rich history of mountain biking and racing. 

It's an icon on the Tasmanian landscape and a classic MTB adventure.

The tour is based out of Hobart, so after each day of riding, the group returns to Hobart.

After a big day on the trails, guests can choose to indulge in the city's nightlife, restaurants, bars, & theatre. 

  • Exclusive tour, tailored to the group's preferences.
  • Riders should be at least intermediate level with moderate fitness.
  • Group size: maximum 10 guests.


Tour Package Includes

  • Full day of riding at Maydena Bike Park with unlimited shuttles
  • Full day of riding at Mt Wellington with unlimited shuttles
  • Trail guide rides with the group on both days
  • Transfers to Maydena Bike Park.
  • 2 x nights accommodation in Hobart. Rooms hold 1-2 guests. Single room surcharge is approx $125 per night.
  • Hobart Airport transfers

Accommodation

  • Our preferred accommodation is The Old Woolstore Apartments and Hotel. It has a 4.5-star rating, and is just a few minutes walk from Hobart's waterfront and some of the best restaurants in Tasmania. 
  • The spacious hotel rooms hold 1-2 guests and feature king, queen or single beds.
  • Services and facilities include: Serves breakfast, lunch, dinner. Free Wi-Fi, 24-hour hotel reception, gymnasium, and business centre. Secure bike storage and bike wash.
  • Room features: Air conditioning, desk, bath, shower, free toiletries, hairdryer, DVD player, flat-screen TV with satellite channels, refrigerator, towels.
  • The tour includes 2 nights accommodation. If the group wish to add an extra night of accommodation, this can be arranged.

Itinerary

Day 0

  • We recommend that all guests are in Hobart the day before the tour begins as the tour has an early morning start.
  • This night's accommodation is included in the tour package.


Day 1

  • 7am. Collect group from accommodation, transfer to Maydena Bike Park.
  • 90 minute drive to Maydena.
  • Maydena Bike Park summit shuttles begin at 9.30am.
  • Full day of gravity riding, with trail guide.
  • Lunch and snacks can be purchased at the bike park.
  • Bus departs Maydena 6pm and returns to Hobart city centre by 7.30pm. 
  • Group dropped at their Hobart accommodation.


Day 2

  • Collect group from their accoomoodation, shuttle up to the trails on Mt Wellington.
  • Full day of riding on Mt. Wellington with shuttles.
  • Includes North-South Track, Glenorchy MTB Park, and descents into South Hobart. 
  • Finish riding around 4.30pm.
  • Guests staying in Hobart city accommodation can be dropped at their accommodation.
  • Guests catching evening flights will be transferred to Hobart Airport.

Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance for their mountain bike tour. Travel insurance provides vital coverage for unexpected situations such as medical emergencies, trip cancellations, lost or damaged gear, and unforeseen accidents on the trail.


Booking Terms & Conditions

  • To secure a spot on the tour, we require a 20% deposit from the group.
  • Full payment must be received 30 days before the start of the tour.

Cancellations

  • Full Refund: For cancellations made 30+ days before the tour
  • 50% Refund: For cancellations made 15-29 days before the tour.
  • No Refund: For cancellations made within 14 days of the tour.
  • Any cancellation requests are assessed on a case-by-case basis and we will use our discretion when applying fees.
